This homemade mint lemonade juice is refreshing, tasty and perfect for summer parties. This summer drink is made with fresh lemon juice and fresh mint and only takes minutes to make.
How to make mint lemonade Juice
Get a large jug/pitcher and pour in water. Add freshly squeezed lemon juice and sugar. Stir with a spoon until the sugar has dissolved.
Now, it’s important you taste it at this stage to see if it has the right taste for you. Some lemons can contain more juice some less, some can be stronger in taster others less. So don’t forget to give the lemonade a taste.
Only then add some extra lemon slices and fresh mint sprigs. Chill in the fridge for two hours before serving so the mint has time to infuse the water as well.
What do you need to make lemonade?
Necessary – a jug/jar/pitcher/glass that is large enough for the amount of mint lemonade you want to make. Then anything you can stir with – a spoon or a spatula – just to dissolve the sugar. And because in this case it is mint lemonade you will need some lemons and fresh mint.
Optional – lemon slices (for the extra lemon-y flavor and decoration) + ice.
Useful tips for making mint lemonade
- The longer you chill it, the stronger the mint flavor as well as lemon flavor (from the lemon slices)
- I always use juice from fresh lemons as it is as fresh as it can get
- Now if you finish all the lemonade, and have mint and lemon slices left in the jug, just refill it with water and put it back to fridge for several hours. This way you will end up with infused water like Lemon Lime Cucumber Water. Isn’t it great? Just make sure to change the mint when you see some leaves turning black.
